This interactive resource describes the principles of logs and their applications to chemistry. Click the image to begin!
Sections include:
1. Overview of logs and their uses with an interactive graphic on how to calculate logs and inverse logs on calculators
2. Calculations in chemistry involving logs, including pH, pK, Nernst, Clausius-Clapeyron and other thermodynamic equations
3. The process of linearisation using logs, with applications to kinetics (rate of reaction, Arrhenius equation, emission rate constants) and some thermodynamic expressions (Freundlich isotherm, Mark-Houwink equation)
